Everything should be made as simple as possible. But not simpler.”

@alberteinstein

Welcome to the voice in my head, “See it simply.”

In 2006, I was sitting on the rooftop of my house overlooking the city of Phoenix and I had a lot on my mind.  I was a few months into taking a sabbatical from my “career”, and I was committed to simplifying my world through “stuff reduction” and becoming very clear about what I wanted to finally do with my life.

Frustrated not having clear answers, I asked the Universe, “Why is it so hard for us to really do what we love doing?”  No answer.

The next morning, while making my smoothie, a voice kept repeating over and over in my head, “See it simply. See it simply.”  Finally, I broke and asked out loud, “See WHAT simply?”

“Everything.” Was the next thing I heard in my head.

Over the course of the next year, I began seeing the word “simple” and all it’s variations everywhere.  Whatever I wanted to learn about; cooking, money, music, golf, yoga, investing, marketing, on & on.

The crux of the message, was always to keep it simple. On the quotes page you will see how many great thinkers, writers, scientists all tell us to simplify.

This website has had many updates over the years, and building a community was always something I thought could ‘happen one day’, but I didn’t know how to do that online. With the advent of #hashtag, we can easily pull millions of people together instantly by creating a common tag. Please use #seeitsimply to share the simple moments in life that make you grateful you’re alive.
